Sharafutdinov and Noguchi win in Vail

Sean McColl CAN - Anna Stöhr AUT Complete results (c) Eddie Fowke The sixth stage of the Boulder WC was a great show where all eight problems were topped out by the winners. In the end Akiyo Noguchi was superior and she has secured the victory before she started the last problem which she also onsighted. Runner up was Fanny Gibert who has never made it to the finals but the big sensation was Megan Mascarenas (16) being #4. Megan was #2 in the semifinal which Akiyo won. Among the guys, Dima Sharafutdinov took another impressive victory meaning that he is in the pole position for winning overall for the second year. The three times world champion has not missed the final during the last 14 events. Noteworthy is that for the male, the winner of the semifinal, starting last out in the final, has for the last 21 WC's never won the final.
